My Trip to the Globe Theatre

I am very excited about attending tonight’s performance of Romeo and Juliet.  Shakespeare is a brilliant playwright.  Romeo and Juliet is so romantic.  I want a love story like that in my life.  I am coming from a party at a friend’s house.  It was very lavish, lots of food and drinks.  Everyone is dressed in their very best to go to the Globe Theatre.  I am a person of the upper class of society, so I am very used to going to fancy parties.  Because of my social standing, I am sitting in the Lord’s Room, which is five times as expensive as a pit ticket for the poor people.  They have to stand while I get to sit and enjoy the show.  The Lord’s Room is lavish and has much room for my friends and me to sit and watch to feature presentation.  Romeo and Juliet is a very popular play and many people are here to see it this evening.  The play is beginning and the crowd is full of anticipation.  From my seat in the Lord’s Room, we can only see part of the stage.  Although my seat has the worst view, it is the only section that can hear the entire play perfectly.  I get to hear every loving line Romeo says to Juliet, even though I may not be able to see it.  From the view I have on the stage plus the entire dialogue, I understand very well what happens on stage.  I also see how a situation like that would happen.  I come from the upper class, so I understand families feuding and children rebelling from their overbearing parents.  The story of Romeo and Juliet meeting and falling in love is an easily relatable story.  I approve of the characters actions because in all instants they act out of love for someone.  The parents love their children; Romeo and Juliet love each other.  Even though they shouldn’t have tried to kill themselves, their intentions were good.  They never did anything without thinking of the other one.  That is true love.  It is a theme that rings true in my time as well as any other time period.  The words they are saying are so beautifully written.  I am very glad that I am sitting in the Lord’s Room because then I can hear all of the dialogue.  The people in the audience love the play.  It is one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays.  This has been a very enjoyable night filled with romance and drama at the Globe Theatre.
